Essential Question #10

EQ 10--What are we using the Flash program to create? Tell me at least 5 terms and explain them that you learned as we did practice with Flash.

We are using Flash to create animations.  We learned the tools such as the brush tool, with this, your able to draw your vector lines with ease and make smooth edges.  The Classic Tween is another thing we learned, this just allows us to move an object or character across the screen by placing the object where you want it and then placing it on the other end and making a Classic Tween within the frames.  Shape Tweens was the next thing we learned and this allows us to change one or more shapes into one big or small shape.  Motion Tweens are basically the same thing as a Classic Tween, but with more precision and options over a normal Classic Tween.  We also learned what a symbol was used for and could do, this is what allows us to help create or label our chars and objects.

Essential Question #9

EQ 9--How did your company presentation go? What was the best part? What was the weakest part? What is the main thing you learned during this presentation?

The presentation went well in my opinion.  The ending where Taylor showed the judges that we had an ACTUAL product to show them.  The weakest part would have to be where we didn't have a commercial to show the judges.  I learned that judges REALLY do not understand just how hard it is to start a company on your own.

Essential Question #8

EQ 8--Reflect on the progress of your company project--3-4 sentences.

ShadowHeart Productions has come a long way from the start where we were just worrying about what we were going to make for the company.  After we got the designs down, starting up took a lot less effort and time.  Long after we made the deigns, we had to make our commercials and everything else.  Making that took a lot longer than we had intended it to.

Essential Question #7

EQ 7--Review this semester. What activities have you enjoyed and why? What activities have you not enjoyed and why? Upload your favorite piece of work so far and explain why it is your favorite.

I have enjoyed making the logos because you could use whatever you liked and just had fun while doing work.  I did not like making the trade faces in the beginning mostly due to the fact that I was new to Photoshop and missed 3 days due to that testing and had to figure everything out on my own to catch up.  This was my favorite piece of work.  The first logo I created was my favorite out of all of them too.

Essential Question #6

EQ 6--Upload your favorite logo. Explain how you made it. Explain why it is your favorite.

My favorite logo I have made so far would have to be the first one I created.  I think it really brings out the name of the company ShadowHeart Productions since it has a heart and it's shadow.  The circle around the hearts just makes it even better because it makes it feel and look like an actual logo you would see on a professional website or T-shirt.  The gradient scale effect that I added to it and the new text makes it look even better.

Essential Question #5

What are the eight parts of the business plan your were assigned? Is that different then you thought? What are the issues you have had so far writing your plan? What has been easy?

The first part of the business plan was the Executive Summary, Company Description, Market Analysis, Organization Management, Service or Product Line, Market and Sales, Funding Request, and finally the Financial Projections.  It's not exactly what I had thought, but it was pretty close.  Nothing was really hard at all so far, but the easiest thing would have to be telling who owns what part of the company and giving details about it.

Essential Question #4

EQ 4--What do you think goes in a business plan? What are the parts? Is research involved? What facts do you need to know, if any? Where could you find this information?

The ideas that the creators of the business are wanting to do with the business as well as the products they wish to produce.  The parts consist of many things you will need to get done in order to start a business.  Research is heavily involved in creating a product that other people will want.  You need to know everything possible about the company you want to start.  The internet could be a start, but not that reliable of a source as magazines from other companies like yours, newspapers, and even just the word of mouth from other people.
